"The Caveman Diet" on KCBS

You gotta figure that if anywhere is going to give rational media treatment to bizarre lifestyles, it's gonna be  San Francisco.

Last week or so, KCBS ran some spots talking about what they called "The Caveman Diet." But they didn't just talk about it; one of their main reporters actually went through the diet over the course of weeks, if not months. And they didn't just report on her results one night; they had FIVE spots dedicated to the story, spread out over the course of the week.

It really is a shocking amount of mainstream coverage. Sure, they simplified and glossed over details, and were too chicken to suggest that saturated animal fats might actually be good for you, but it is an overwhelmingly fair and positive discussion of not only the diet, but the lifestyle.

I don't know how long these video links to the spots will work, but I wanted to collect them here anyway. Here they are presented in order.

Night 1: Caveman Diet Trend Starting to Catch On

Night 2: Surprising Results from the Caveman Diet

Night 3: Caveman Diet Shows Blood Pressure and Cholesterol Benefits

Night 4: How Realistic is the Caveman Diet at Home?

Night 5: For Some, Caveman Lifestyle Goes Beyond Diet
